The "we're probably not going to turn into Swine flu zombies" playlist- or Songs of the Week.

In attempt to apologise for my lacklustre approach to blogging here this week to my 6 readers- I felt a Songs of the Week  extravaganza was in order. I've also taken a more current affairs-y, less collages of my dog approach to blogging by putting in buzz word Swine Flu. These are mostly songs and albums I've been listening to at/ on my way to my lovely new  job  at Amelia's Magazine aka. Oestrogen Towers.
All very lovely and as catchy as a pandemic-

- Au Revoir Simone- Still Night Still Light- "I like their pins"
- TELEPATHE- Dance Mother
- Fever Ray- s/t
- Yeah Yeah Yeahs- It's Blitz- developing my girl crush on Karen O
-Passion Pit- CD I found at work.

Finally an homage to a great Wavves song  and vintage railway safety. I love this...Dad, if you're reading this I realise that railway safety is to be taken very seriously and not as a stylistic flourish added to rad lo-fi noise...

song of the week

...is Stereo by Pavement on the awesome and recently re-released Brighten the Corners. The link is a video so you can see Stephen "dreampiece" Malkmus sticking gum to a rock.
Technically this is my song of every week, it's basically got everything a favourite song should have, plus dancing to Stereo is scientifically proven to make you as happy as pictured. (My bud  Karl and I did an experiment.)

song of the week

Without talking on and on/ wanking off for too long about Deerhunter like the Pitchfork-reading indie schmoozer I am at heart, just thought I'd give a quick mention to  this track  from the upcoming Rainwater Cassette Exchange Ep, I have been listening to it non-stop whilst working this week and I think it's rather lovely.
The End
